Three teachers named Best in State for science

CHAMPAIGN -- A teacher is being honored as one of the best in the state.  Elizabeth Slifer was awarded the Outstanding Teacher of Science Award. It's from the Illinois Science Teacher Association. Slifer teaches 4th grade at Carrie Busey and even helps create the science curriculum students learn across the district. 

Two other teachers were also awarded. Liz Dabrowski and Brandon Rutherford were awarded as New Teachers of the Year. They teach at Booker T. Washington STEM Academy and Garden Hills.
