Township supervisor resigns

PIATT COUNTY -- The township supervisor resigns amid a lawsuit for unpaid taxes. Sandra Manuel was supervisor for Blue Ridge Township.

However, a few weeks ago board members filed a lawsuit against her claiming she hadn't paid $8,000 in taxes. Tuesday, she resigned.

The board accepted her resignation at a meeting Wednesday and will start looking for a replacement.
The township's attorney says Manuel may have to pay the township for any late fees on those taxes.
