CHAMPAIGN -- It took two locations and hours in the cold, but WCIA-3 News viewers stepped up to the plate again. Thanks to you, Tuesday's toy drive collected $12,000 and 4,000 toys.

Now it's time for the really fun part. Almost 1,000 families have signed up to get a gift. Most kids will get two brand new toys.

There's still a chance to sign up if you haven't.

CHAMPAIGN -- Thanks to your help, Toys for Tots can make sure thousands of kids get a visit from Santa this year. WCIA-3 News teamed up with WIXY and the Salvation Army Tuesday, raising money and collecting toys for kids in Champaign and Vermilion counties.

Our goal was to collect $6,000 for toys. You broke that number with $6,400 and 3,000 toys! A collection was also held in Danville and will help 1,800 kids this holiday in Vermilion County alone. About 5,000 kids in our area need the help this holiday.
