EFFINGHAM COUNTY -- A man is walking across Central Illinois to help raise money for organ transplants. Don Stuckey started in Effingham last week. He plans to end his trip in Springfield Saturday. That's 90-miles total.

Stuckey got a kidney transplant last month and it saved his life. He says he hopes his walk will inspire more people to become organ donors, that way, more lives can be saved.

He says the best part of the journey has been drivers waving and honking in support. When someone stops him to make a donation, that's what keeps him going through all the long miles.
