MACON COUNTY -- The names of two Chicago men accused of armed robbery have been released. Authorities say 24-year old Deandre Oneal and 17-year old Jeremy Collins confessed to holding up the Midwest Cellular store, 1300-block of Hickory Point Drive, Sunday, about 5:30 pm.

The suspects reportedly entered the store with a large canvas bag and demanded items from three customers and three employees while also taking merchandise from the store. When police arrived, a foot pursuit took place and both suspects were caught.

Investigators say a chrome, .22 semi-automatic handgun loaded with ammunition was recovered from where Oneal said he hid it. Officials say Oneal has a prior conviction for robbery, is a known street-gang member and is currently on parole. The firearm was determined to have been stolen from Porter County, IN.
