Two arrested for trying to sell stolen phone back to owner

URBANA -- A UI employee outsmarted two people trying to make a profit on his stolen phone. The man first noticed his phone missing Tuesday.

Investigators say someone called him to try to sell it back to him. The victim contacted police before meeting up with the suspects at the campus rec center Wednesday.

Two men were arrested. 19-year old Darius East is charged with theft. He reportedly had the stolen phone in his possession when he was picked up.

20-year old Persevald Blissit wasn't supposed to be on campus. He was arrested for trespassing.
