URBANA -- It was a special night for special kids. The Tom Jones Challenger League is for kids with disabilities. Tuesday night, coaches from the University of Illinois came out to be their buddies.

Athletic Director Mike Thomas, football coach Tim Beckman and baseball coach Dan Hartleb were just a few of the people putting smiles on kids' faces. You can bet the coaches went home with a good feeling as well.

The Challenger League has ten teams and more than 100 players. It's been letting kids of all abilities play baseball for 16 years now.
