UI gets millions to boost research

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- A UI program is getting $3 million to boost research. The Mellon Foundation awarded it to the Illinois Programs for Research in the Humanities.

It will fund the first two years of a research partnership with fifteen other institutions. It will also fund a workshop for pre-doctoral students which begin in the summer of 2015.
