UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- The UI's Law School took a hit in national rankings. U.S. News & World Report released its list of top law schools. For 2014, the College of Law ranked 47th. That's down 12 spots from last year.

The state's Bar Association president says he still holds the university to a high standard. The dean of the college sent a message to students and alumni. He says they're disappointed, but understand that ratings can fluctuate. He says the school has the highest percentage of students passing the bar exam in the state.
