UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- A product made by UI grads could light up the way kids learn about electricity. The "Circuit Scribe" is a specially-made pen filled with silver ink.

When you write with it on a regular piece of paper, it creates a link which can be used to connect circuits. One of the co-founders says he's already talked with Champaign's superintendent about using it.

Organizers needed $85,000 to get the project off the ground. They used Kickstarter and have raised more than $400,000 so far. They hope to start making them in the next few months.
