UI, unions reach tentative agreement

URBANA -- The University of Illinois and two of its unions have reached a tentative agreement in their contract negotiations. This is for food and building service workers at the university.

Some of the main sticking points were wages and discipline. The two sides met with a federal mediator to reach a compromise. No specific details were released.

Union members still need to vote on the terms of the new contract. They plan to do that next Thursday and Friday.
