URBANA -- A one-of-a-kind playground is helping kids with disabilities be active. It opened during the annual Scarecrow Festival at AMBUCS Park.

The park district designed the playground to be easily accessible. Wheelchair ramps were built and several pieces of equipment are lowered. It also has features letting kids experience more than just climbing around.

"My favorite part is like the xylophone part and the huge big circles, I like those,” said Grace Rinkenberger. “I like the music part of it. I like playing with instruments and making sounds and stuff."

When kids weren't on the playground, they were running around the fest which included games, a pumpkin sale and inflatables.
