Bars opened at 10 am. There weren't many people out. Officers say they're really going to be checking for house parties, making sure partiers aren't charging fees to enter and looking for underage drinking.
Folks say it's all about self-control. One group says it's checking ID's. Still, it's going to be hard to avoid the scene of green. You may also see signs around campustown warning drivers to slow down and watch for pedestrians.
