Vacant home fire ruled arson

CHAMPAIGN -- A recent fire has been ruled arson. The fire broke out Saturday in a vacant home on William Street. The home is up for sale.

The fire caused about $5,500 damage. Police are investigating a series of fires in Champaign. Others have happened on Victor, Mattis and Church streets.

CHAMPAIGN -- Authorities are still trying to determine what caused a house fire. It happened Saturday in the 200-block of William Street.

The house is vacant and for sale. Crews say the fire was on the inside of the home, but it was put out quickly.

Neighbors say they could see it through the window. Damage is estimated at $5,500. No one was hurt.

CHAMPAIGN -- A house fire is under investigation. The house at 208 William Street was up for sale, but Saturday, the living room caught fire.

There was no one inside or injured on the scene. Crews put it out quickly. Authorities are still trying to determine a cause.
