UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- A fraternity at UI has been temporarily suspended by its national leaders. Alpha Tau Omega has been suspended because some of its members are being investigated for vandalism on campus. The director of the national chapter says they're cooperating with police.
A brick was thrown through a window of Bromley Hall by a group of students. Workers at a campus bar say the same group of kids forced their way in. Police caught two of those in the group. The rest fled on foot.
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- The local chapter of Alpha Tau Omega has been temporarily suspended by the national fraternity. The director of chapter services issued a release stating an investigation is underway and the group is working with university officials to determine if members of the fraternity were involved recent vandalism on the UI campus. Fraternity officials say, if allegations are substantiated, further action could be taken against individual members of the fraternity.
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS -- A dorm at the UI is vandalized and witnesses say a group of students is responsible. Students say a brick was thrown at the side glass windows of Bromley Hall Tuesday night shattering the glass. Nearly 30 students were studying in the area when it happened, but no one was hurt.
Campus officials say the incident won't be taken lightly. Workers at a bar on campus say the same group of kids forced their way in. Police caught up to the group, but some of them ran. Two were caught and given notices to appear in court.
