BEMENT -- Some voters were turned away from polling places after they ran out of ballots. Election judges say only about 11% of voters turned out to the last municipal election, so they prepared for a small turnout.

They ran out of ballots about 3:15 pm. Voters were asked to come back later. Extra ballots were brought in about 5 pm. The town is electing a village president and trustees.
