WESTVILLE -- People will soon pay more for their water. Village trustees approved a hike this week to pay for system improvements. The mayor says it hasn't been regulated since 2008.

The hike is $1.00 more per 1,000 gallons of water. That means the rate will be $5.72 per 1,000 gallons of water. The capital improvement fee was also increased by $.50. That makes it $3.50 per customer per month. The increase takes effect in December.
