Water tower capacity increasing 10x's

MT. ZION, Ill. (WCIA) -- After years of debate, the town will now see a new water tower.

It's in need of a new one to improve water pressure. Also, the current tower isn't big enough.

The new one will hold up to a million gallons instead of 100.

Construction is expected to take a year-and-a-half at a cost of about $3 million which will be covered through a loan with the Illinois EPA.
