CHAMPAIGN COUNTY -- Roads are becoming quite slick due to the weather and it's causing accidents. This crash happened on I-57 near to I-74. It involved a car and a semi-truck.

"We were trying to merge left because the truck was honking at us trying to get us to move out of the way. When we went left, he kind of nicked us. We hit the guardrail and spun out. We were going into oncoming traffic. We hit the ditch again," say Michael Whittaker.

Whittaker was traveling to Urbana from St. Charles, Missouri. He said the farther north they traveled the worse the roads got.

While some roads are tough to drive on, other roads are disappearing. Rural roads are flooding due to a mix of snow melt and frozen grounds over the last two days.

Authorities are warning drivers to be cautious throughout Champaign County. Dropping temperatures could cause black ice.
