ILLINOIS -- A new plan to expand gambling could be a hard sell for downstate. Hearings in Chicago Wednesday focused on adding a casino, just in Chicago. That would mean no casinos for Danville, Waukegan or Rockford.

Advocates are pushing for it to go in the heart of the Loop. They say, even though it wouldn't be south of I-80, the entire state could benefit from the revenue generated or $1 million a day. The bill could be called for a vote before the end of May.
