Winning hound has ties to Central Illinois

NATIONAL -- A winning dog at Westminster came from Central Illinois. This bloodhound, named Nathan, won the hound group Monday night at the Westminster Kennel Club Competition.

He was born in St. Joseph by breeder Brian Flester. It's Flester's first win at Westminster. Standing out is in the dog's gene's. Nathan's great-grandfather holds the world record for longest ears on a bloodhound.

Nathan competed for Best in Show, but lost out to a wire fox terrier.
