CLARK COUNTY -- Investigators say it could take several days to identify a body found near Casey. The coroner's office says IDOT workers found the dead woman's body Friday afternoon, just west of the I-70 ramp.

An autopsy took place Saturday. The coroner's office says the case is being investigated as a homicide. The extent of the woman's injuries or how long her body had been where it was discovered has not been released.

Authorities hope dental records will help in the identification. State police are heading the investigation.
