SPRINGFIELD -- Lincoln's Tomb will reopen soon after receiving some much-needed repairs. The tomb was closed for several months.

Workers fixed cracks, repaired water damage to ceilings and repainted some areas. Officials wanted the work completed before the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's death in 2015.

The tomb was scheduled to reopen April 1. It's free of charge. The restoration project was part of Governor Quinn's $31 billion Illinois Jobs Now Program.
