DECATUR -- The city is getting a head start when it comes to medical marijuana. It's scheduled to vote Monday night on zoning ordinances for future dispensaries and cultivation centers.

The city manager says the vote has nothing to do with regulations of medical marijuana, but the zoning ordinance would let people know where a location could be. The state is looking for about 22 cultivation sites and 60 dispensaries.
