CHAMPAIGN -- A U of I professor is joining millions. All in a fight to prevent violence.

The Sandy Hook shooting brought them all together. Six million university researchers put together a statement.

It's urging the President to improve mental health services in schools.

It also asks him to beef up gun control.

"What are we doing to address the issues? For every one hundred American there's 88 guns. That ratio should be very disturbing to many parents." Dorothy Espelage said.

Espelage says this statement is making noise on Capitol Hill. The millions are pushing to make it go viral.
