Judah Christian making history

Tribe win program's first regional title taking down top seed Cissna Park

CHAMPAIGN (WCIA) -- The Judah Christian boys' basketball team is going where no team has gone before: playing in a sectional. The Tribe got two upset wins last week in the regional, taking down No. 3 Milford and top-seed Cissna Park in the regional title game Saturday night.

"It meant a lot for our school," Judah senior Cade Chitty said. "It's been a long time coming. We haven't been very good in the past and it means so much more for the school, everyone is all juiced up."

"For this program, I think it's amazing honestly," Judah senior Daniel Alston said. "Nobody expects Judah to be this good in anything. For me personally, I came here as a freshman and didn't expect to be this good my senior year. I have such great teammates and a great coach and we a possibility to go far."

Judah will play St. Anne Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Schlarman sectional semifinal.
