Maroa-Forsyth senior class leaves with three 2nd place trophies

DEKALB (WCIA) -- For the third time in their high school careers, the Maroa-Forsyth seniors came back home with the second place trophy.

The Trojans couldn't hold on to an 11 point second half lead, falling to GCMS 38-32.

"Our kids will be back in the weight room a week from Monday and we'll be back at it," head coach Josh Jostes said. "Our quarterback is pretty good, and he's just a sophomore so it'll be a lot on his shoulders."

"Not many people can say that they've been to state three times but it doesn't really mean anything to use if you don't win it," running back Deondre Gregory added. "I don't want to go to battle with anybody else, we had a hard fought game today I guess they just made more plays than us."
