PEORIA, Ill. - Freeburg scores two unearned runs in the first inning capitalizing on two Pleasant Plains errors, but Cardinals overcame those early jitters to beat Freeburg 5-2 in the Class 2A state baseball semifinals at Dozer Park in Peoria.  Mitch Koehler's defense let him down early, but he was resilient on the hill throwing a complete game for the victory.  Plains (30-11) will take on Byron (35-5) in the state title game Saturday at 5:30 pm.
