Police perform preventative sweep of high schools

CHAMPAIGN -- No arrests were made after a planned sweep at two high schools Wednesday morning. Police and K-9 officers from Rantoul, Urbana and Champaign County Sheriff's Department helped Champaign police with the search.

CHAMPAIGN -- Both high schools were put on lock down Wednesday morning. School leaders say it was all planned. Police and K-9's went through both schools as part of a preventative plan to keep the area safe for students.
