URBANA -- People around the world are remembering a beloved high school teacher. Greg Chew taught in Urbana schools for 35 years. He taught English, drama, speech and played a big part in designing part of the high school theater.

Chew died Wednesday from cancer. Urbana Superintendent Don Owen says former students from all over the world have been reaching out after hearing the news.

"He was so passionate about theater, drama and music and it really rubbed off, not just on the students, but on Urbana students as a whole," says Don Owen.

The control booth in the theater was named after Chew. Funeral arrangements are pending.
