CHAMPAIGN -- By all accounts, five-star recruit Cliff Alexander had a great time on his official visit to Illinois over the weekend, and it is still unclear whether he will take more unofficial visits to other schools before announcing his decision next month.  The superstar power forward from Chicago was a big hit with the fans at the Illinois football game Saturday.

It's still possible Alexander could take one more unofficial visit to Michigan State before picking a school.  Illinois coach John Groce can't talk about recruits like Alexander specifically, but he did say the State Farm Center renovation project is something that has top recruits thinking hard about the Illini.

"The State Farm Center project itself has people excited, especially the classes we're recruiting that are underclassmen," said Groce.  "The '15, '16, '17 kids travel.  They see all these different arenas.  They're comparative shopping.  Right now we're not up to par in that area.  I think when it's finished based on what I've seen, it'll be among the best in the country."
