CHAMPAIGN -- One of the bright spots for the Illinois football team has been the play of Steve Hull.  The senior wide receiver ranks sixth in the Big Ten in receiving, and he has stepped up in a big way ever since Ryan Lankford was lost for the year.  Head coach Tim Beckman says if Hull can stay healthy, he hopes his senior can get a chance to play in the NFL.

"Steve Hull is a very determined individual," Beckman said.  "I know this.  The intelligence to be able to play on the defensive side of the ball for so many years, and then move to the offense and to be able to route run, that shows some things for a young man.  I sure hope he gets the opportunity."

Hull played most of his Illinois career as a defensive back before injuries forced his switch to offense this season.
