CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Illinois basketball team is in the middle what head coach John Groce calls a physical, and more importantly, mental break from game action.  Illinois will carry a six-game losing streak into Saturday's game against Iowa.

Not much has gone right for the Illini over the last few weeks.  Groce says his team needs to find a way to win, but in the meantime the effort has to be there every day.

"The effort, the fight, and attitude is not negotiable.  We don't negotiate that," Groce said after Illinois 56-46 loss at Indiana.  "That's just who we are, and that's who we are going to be.  We're going to fight, and figure out how do we play a little bit better? How do we maximize what we have?"

Illinois and Iowa tip off at 6:30 pm Saturday night at State Farm Center.  The game will be televised on BTN.
