CHAMPAIGN -- The Illinois men's golf team is moving up again in the national rankings. The final coaches poll of the fall season
was released today, and the Orange and Blue are ranked No. 6 in the country. That is up from No. 14, where they were in the preseason. Defending national champion Alabama is the unanimous No. 1 team, garnering all 22 first-place votes. Illinois lost to the Crimson Tide in last year's NCAA Championship.
Illinois won two tournaments in the fall and took home three Top 5's. They'll open the spring season at the Tinervin Cup in Florida at the end of January.
