CHAMPAIGN (WCIA) -- The Illinois women's basketball team opens up play in the Big Ten tournament on Wednesday afternoon taking on 11-seed Penn State at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
"We're kind of thinking everyone is 0-0 going into this," Illinois junior Alex Wittinger said. "It's an even playing field. All sorts of things can happen. We're just really viewing it as an opportunity to keep going."
"We have to go at this, like I said, it's another chance to get after it and play another game," Illinois head coach Nancy Fahey said. "It is a different time of the year where if you lose, you're done and we don't want to be done."
Tip-off between Illinois and Penn State is set for approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
