DECATUR -- Illinois junior Tim Kopinski is hitting the pro tennis courts this summer.  He is hoping the chance to go against some of the world's best up-and-comers will help take his game to the next level when he starts his junior year at the U of I.

Kopinski entered both the singles and doubles draw at the Ursula Beck Pro Tennis Classic in Decatur this week.

He lost his singles match Wednesday morning in straight sets, but he has high hopes for a big junior year.  He was second on the team in wins last year, earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors, and competed in the NCAA Doubles Championship.
