CHAMPAIGN -- The Illini Football Team starts its season next month and Memorial Stadium is nearly ready. A new scoreboard was installed over the weekend.

The video-board is four times bigger than the previous one. It's 96-feet tall with ribbon boards 420-feet long. The $7 million project is set to go live August 31 for the game against Southern Illinois.
