URBANA, Ill. - The Illinois softball team (16-10) is off to a good start.  Terri Sullivan's squad is six games over .500, and they are coming off a doubleheader split with No. 16 Missouri on Wednesday.  Illinois will travel north to face No. 15 Minnesota for a three-game series starting Friday.  It's a young Illini team learning as they go.  They only have two seniors on the team, and Sullivan is pleased with their progress so far.

"When we put all the parts together, we are pretty tough to beat," Sullivan said.  "We have had some tough losses as well, but we keep saying we are 'green and growing,' learning from both the wins and the losses.  I've been really pleased with this team's ability to learn from games and get better each game and be committed to the long haul."
