GREEN BAY, Wisc. - Former Illinois football coach Ron Zook is getting back in the game.  The Green Bay Packers announced Friday they have hired Zook as their new assistant special teams coach.  Zook has been out of coaching since he was fired at Illinois in 2011.  Since then he has spent time working at a Florida bank and as a college football analyst for CBS Sports Network.

Zook spent seven seasons as head coach at Illinois from '05-'11.  He does have experience in the NFL, serving as special teams coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers, defensive backs coach with the Kansas City Chiefs and defensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints.
