SPRINGFIELD (WCIA) -- It took 74 holes but Adam Schenk won his first career Web.com Tour event at the Lincoln Land Charity Championship.
Schenk missed a potential winning putt on the 18th to close his round. After all four players pared the first playoff hole, Schenk drained a 25 foot putt to claim the title the second time through.
Former Illini Scott Langley finish -11, Charlie Danielson wrapped up his tournament at -8.
"When you don't have status you're kind of hopping around, trying to get any starts you can. So it was a huge bonus to Monday qualify last week, felt like my game was in great shape. Then I made a couple of birdies to get in this week and had a great back 9 to make the cut out here. Solid round yesterday but just wasn't my day today," Danielson said after his tournament. "My game feels good, just didn't score and so take positives but would have loved to have kept it rolling on the Web."
