CHARLESTON, Ill. - Former Central and Centennial star Corvon Butler is coming home. Butler announced on Twitter Wednesday night he has signed with Eastern Illinois. Butler played one year at North Carolina A&T, then redshirted last season at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, Ill. Butler will join Jay Spoonhour's squad at Eastern Illinois, and he will have three years of eligibility remaining. Butler averaged 14 points and seven rebounds per game as a senior at Central.

URBANA, Ill. - The Illinois women's gymnastics team hit the road for Birmingham, Ala. Tuesday night, where they will compete at the NCAA Championships for the fourth time in the last six years. Illinois is the No. 11 seed, and they are coming off a second place finish at regionals. They have already made school history by becoming the first team to go to the NCAA Championships in back-to-back years, but they want even more this weekend.
