ATWOOD -- World War II vets are becoming harder to find. But, we met one who lives right here in Our Town.

After William Wierman worked as a farmer for three years, he says he got tired and decided to join the Army instead. He's 92-years old now and still remembers a lot about his service.

Wierman says it was definitely a good learning experience. Wierman served overseas for two years and spent some time in the Philippines.

While he was there, he got to drive a truck for General Douglas MacArthur. He delivered war correspondence for members of the Army.
