103rd District race

URBANA -- The 103rd District race for state representative is a big one on the ballot.
URBANA -- The 103rd District race for state representative is a big one on the ballot. It represents plenty of issues to deal with in the state capitol, but overall, it's been extremely calm.

Democrat Naomi Jakobsson and republican Rob Meister spent Tuesday going from polling place to polling place making sure all their "i's" were dotted and their "t's" were crossed.

Jakobsson is finishing her fifth term in office. Tuesday morning, was calm and collected, working out early, before voting and checking around at polling places.

Her opponent, Rob Meister, took a different approach. Instead, he spent the morning on Green Street handing out pizza from his restaurant, Minneci's.

As of 1 pm, he hadn't voted. Meister says he's leaving voting until the end and says the most important thing for him was encouraging people to get to the polls.
