Bleak outlook for some farmers

CHAMPAIGN -- Farmers are getting started with harvest a little later than they'd like.
CHAMPAIGN -- Farmers are getting started with harvest a little later than they'd like. Illinois Farm Bureau crop-watchers say, within the past week, about six percent of corn was harvested. That's largely because of a late-planting season.

The soybean harvest is slow-going as well, especially with recent foggy mornings. Business has been slow at grain bins as well, but workers expect it to pick up in the next few weeks.

Farmers say it's hard to tell how their yields will be this early, but some say they're disappointed with what they've seen so far.
