Butler hires former Illini assistant Miller

Brandon Miller follows the long line of Butler assistants to get promoted to head coach.
Former Illini assistant Brandon Miller is now the head coach at Butler. The Bulldogs introduced Miller as its newest head coach on Saturday. He replaces Brad Stevens, who took the Boston Celtics head coach position.

Miller joined the Illini for the 2012-2013 season after taking a year off. In April, he joined Brad Stevens' staff as an assistant. Miller is also a former Bulldogs player.

Illinois Head Coach John Groce tweeted about Miller's hire on Saturday: "Congrats to Brandon Miller on being named the head coach at Butler University! Great things happen to great people!"
