URBANA -- Dozens celebrated the history of their hometown.
URBANA -- Dozens celebrated the history of their hometown. It was for the city's 180th anniversary. Several people wrote poems rhyming words together to explain why they love Urbana.

They were read in front of a crowd. The mayor says it made her proud of her community.

"This is a remarkable community. It's very small, but it's an international community and we have an impact on the world, by the people that get educated here and the research that goes on," Mayor Laurel Prussing said.

Four poems were chosen as favorites. The writers were given gift certificates to restaurants in town.
