CHAMPAIGN -- A restaurant will change its controversial mural once again. This Chief Illiniwek image is painted at T.G.I. Friday's. The Lakota Indian Tribe called and wanted it taken down.

So instead, the restaurant painted over its face. After a lot of calls, owners decided to recreate the mural. Employees say they're sorry if it offends anyone but "the legend lives on."

CHAMPAIGN -- T.G.I. Friday's removed the face of Chief Illiniwek. Last month, restaurant owners said they wouldn't. However, they say the Lakota Indian tribe contacted them and wanted the face taken down.

They kept the headpiece and painted over the face. Customers are upset, but the owners say they had good intentions. They say they don't plan to do anything else with the painting.
