CHAMPAIGN -- Crime Stoppers tips led Champaign Police to find several guns hidden in people's homes.
Callers over the past week gave officers information about where to find six guns.
Many homeowners didn't even know the guns were there.
They'd been brought in by relatives.
The police chief says it took about 24 hours to find them all.
"There's a lot of hard work on our officers in order to make these cases to come about officers have been working with the community diligently to do what we can to keep our community safe," says Champaign Police Chief Anthony Cobb.
Chief Cobb says this wouldn't have happened without the community's help.
