NORMAL -- The father of a student accused of shooting a gun in a school was in court Friday. Rodney Kinder pleaded not guilty to charges for allegedly giving his son a gun. Prosecutors say the 43-year old gave it to his 14-year old son for Christmas. By law, the teen is not old enough to own the weapon. Police say the teen fired shots into the ceiling of Normal Community High School in September.

NORMAL -- The father of a teen accused of shooting a gun in a high school has been arrested. Rodney Kinder faces charges of unlawful sale of a firearm. He's accused of giving his son the weapon used in the shooting.

The 14-year old pleaded not guilty to felony charges. Police say he fired shots into a ceiling at Normal Community High School last month. Kinder is out on bond.
