Area teen makes big screen debut

WASHINGTON -- A Central Illinois teen is coming to the big screen.
WASHINGTON -- A Central Illinois teen is coming to the big screen. 14-year-old Jacob Williams is making his movie debut next week in a film called The Stream. It also stars Mario Lopez.

Williams plays "Ernest," a kid hoping for one more adventure with his friends before his family moves away. It's a life-long dream for Williams after getting his first theatre role in 5th grade.

"I'd like to keep doing it; that and directing throughout the rest of my life. It's something fun I enjoy and to have that as a career would be awesome."

The Stream premieres in select cities nationwide October 18. It's also raising money for the Boys and Girls Club of America.
